Description
Join us for a 6 week course in collaboration with the Sivananda Bahamas Ashram. This course designed for those wanting to begin or build a foundation in a study of the harmonium and music. The harmonium is the perfect companion for chanting and support for your practice of Bhakti Yoga, one of the Four Paths of Yoga according to Swami Sivananda’s Yoga of Synthesis. In this course, you will not only learn new skills and techniques to help develop your personal practice, but you will also get to be a part of a community of other seekers on this path. Seth facilitates a learning environment that is interactive, fun, and engaging. Each class will provide opportunities to connect with other members of the course, share your questions and progress, and receive positive feedback and encouragement from Seth and your fellow participants.

The basics of harmonium playing
The fundamentals of music (rhythm, melody, harmony, etc.)
Beautiful chant music with harmonium accompaniment
Tips for using your voice and singing
How to develop your personal harmonium practice
How to share your chanting practice with others

Audio recordings of each chant to help your learning
Video playback of each session
1 private 30 min coaching session with Seth
REQUIREMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS:
A harmonium and the desire to learn how to play it.
No music experience necessary.
Viewing Device: Desktop or laptop computer will provide the best experience, although you can also connect via a tablet or smartphone.
Internet connection: High-speed broadband wired or wireless is best.
Video: Download Zoom to your computer, or install the Zoom app to your device. For interactive group sessions, a webcam or integrated camera will allow others to feel more connected with you.
Audio: Headphone speakers are recommended. If you wish to participate vocally, a headset with a microphone will be ideal.
Class size is limited to allow for more personal attention and a more intimate, group experience. Early registration is recommended to ensure a space.
